Winter Queen Updates

On December 11, 2020, Queen Bethany, Debbie Johnson, and I attended the 15th Annual Florida Seed Company Skeet Shoot in Nokomis, FL. This fun-filled day proved to be a great success as we were able to add seven new grower members to the association! Queen Bethany handed out FWA license tags and other promotional items. She also assisted with handing out door prizes and raffle tickets to all the shooters. Thanks to Florida Seed Company for having us!

Recently, Queen Bethany and other State and National Queens got together via Zoom for a virtual queen training with Carmine & Vanessa Gallo and NWPB. We are very excited to announce that Queen Bethany has decided to stay on and serve as our 2021 Florida Watermelon Queen. In 2022, she will compete for the National Watermelon Queen title.

In other news, the 2021 Florida State Fair has been moved from February to April. We hope to have a date to share with you in the next newsletter. Make plans to attend and support the FWA and your Queen!

In March, Queen Bethany will be attending the Florida Spring Savage Race in Dade City, Fla, where she will be handing out promotional items for all participants in the race.

Queen Bethany and I are looking forward to promoting watermelons in 2021; something we all love!

If you would like for us to attend one of your favorite schools or grocery stores, please contact me directly at Debra@flfwa.com or by calling (863) 633-8306.
