Summer 2021 Queen Update

Happy Summer Everyone!

Over the past few months, Queen Bethany has had the opportunity to participate in several in-store promotions, where she handed out “Fresh from Florida” watermelons. I can’t tell you how nice it’s been to be able to hand out freshly sliced watermelon in person, a huge step in the right direction compared to where we were this time last year. Thank you to everyone at Sprouts Farmers Market, Detwiler’s Farmers Market, Publix, and Winn Dixie.

Queen Bethany also had the chance to enjoy a day with Chef Justin Timineri, preparing and cooking up some watermelon recipes. You can enjoy these recipes yourself by checking out the Florida Department of Agriculture’s Chef’s Corner.

On August 18 and 19, Queen Bethany will be attending the “Florida Citrus & Vegetable Expo” at the Lee County Civic Center. If you’re planning to attend this event, we hope you will stop by Booth #430 with CalPhusion (Green Essentials) and play “Spin the Wheel” for the chance to win a gift.
