Diamond 99 Watermelons

Diamond 99 Watermelons is owned and operated by Dan & Carrie Thomas of Bell, FL. Dan is a 4th generation watermelon farmer and has been running his family farm since 1994. Dan and Carrie began their business in 2003 to promote their farm’s watermelons. They have grown and now are able to ship watermelons from South Florida, North Florida, Georgia, and Oklahoma.

Left to Right: Ashlee Thomas, Queen Aviana, Alaina Thomas, Carrie Thomas, Dan Thomas

They have been members of the FWA for about 20 years.

Dan and Carrie enjoy being members of the industry because it provides them with input for research, promotions, and allows them to be in the know of the newest products and research out there. They also enjoy meeting new people and catching up with their FWA family.  Carrie is on the FWA board and is involved in many of the committees.   She is also a teacher, so she is able to educate our youth about the benefits of watermelon by having the queen visit and demonstrate during her school’s annual Career Day. Dan is on the research committee and able to help make important decisions regarding the concerns of the industry.

Dan and Carrie believe that from the seed to the table it takes everyone, and they hope that we all work together to make this a great season.
