FWA Queen

 

Miss Brandi Harrison was crowned as the 2013 Florida Watermelon Queen during the 45th annual Florida Watermelon Association Convention held March 21 – 24, 2013 at the Gaylord Palms Resort in beautiful Orlando, Florida .Brandi is the 21 year old daughter of Billy and Sherri Harrison. Brandi is attending the Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida she will be graduating in the spring with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication. She is also on the Florida Gulf Coast University Dean’s List.

Brandi is actively involved with her community volunteering with various organizations such as Lee Memorial Children Hospital, Healthy Start Coalition, and FGCU Food Forest.  She is also involved with FGCU Florida Public Relations Association, FGCU Alumni Relations and the Minnesota Twins MLB Spring Training. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, air boating, and cooking with her sisters.

As Florida Watermelon Queen, Brandi will travel throughout the United States and Canada, serving as a spokesperson for the watermelon industry. Brandi will hold the state title for one year and in February 2014 will represent Florida for the title of the National Watermelon Queen held this year in Savannah, Georgia.
