FWA Queen

 Miss Shelley Catherine Allen

Shelley Catherine Allen was crowned as the 2010 Florida Watermelon Queen on March 27 at the Renaissance Resort at the World Golf Village in St.  Augustine, Florida.

Shelley is the daughter of Tracy Allen and Marie Richards of Marianna, Florida.

Shelley is a graduate of Florida State University majoring in Professional Communications with a minor in Psychology. There she serves on the Student Government Council, is the Treasurer and Co-Public Relations Chair of the Communication Club, is on the Dean’s List, and received the Florida Academic Scholars Award.  She plans to obtain her master’s degree in Corporate and Public Communication and work as a broadcast journalist. Shelley loves cooking, traveling, Zumba and of course watermelons.

Shelley will hold the state title for one year and then February 2011 she will represent Florida for the title of the National Watermelon Queen.
